Both Schaalby, a village with a population of 300 near the city of Schleswig, Germany, and Los Angeles an enormous metropolis in the United States are points of origin for the new LIMBOGOTT Long player “Spit Or Swallow”. Although both places couldn’t be more different you will quickly recognize that this record is one solid collaboration. The band has taken things to a new level in sound as well as in song writing. An all star cast of contributors have put effort into this wonderful collection of music. Jay Gordon (Linkin Park, Korn, u.a.), Sylvia Massy (System Of A Down, Johnny Cash, u.a.), and John Fryer ( Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, u.a.) collectively worked on the new LIMBOGOTT material.

These high powered players involved in the new LIMBOGOTT release brought out the best in the raw material that the band provided. Jay Gordon attests to this by saying, “The guys are fabulous musicians – this is a huge advantage for the person who is mixing the record.“, and at this point is clear „movement is progress“.

Since the release of the debut album „One Minute Violence“ four years ago LIMBOGOTT has been working incredibly hard. They have played concerts with Dillinger Escape Plan, In Extremo, Big Boy, D’espairs Ray. They have played festivals like M’era Luna, Clubs in Berlin, London, and Paris. The LIMBOGOTT guys take every opportunity imaginable to rock the stages of this world. No matter if it’s an established festival or a club show anywhere in Europe. Next to their distinctive live attitude that they present, they also have a very creative output which is simply amazing. LIMBOGOTT is constantly working on new sounds, lyrics and song structures – which always get recorded as soon as possible in their home studio in Schaalby.

This was how “Spit Or Swallow“ was developed. The album name describes the attitude of the band, says singer Limbosonic „..either you swallow us as we are - or you don’t…”

The sound is so hard, but at the same time softer than ever before. Even established fans will find a lot of new and interesting elements on this release. One highlight of the album is, without a doubt, the cover song “Haus der Luege”, a classic from “Einstürzende Neubauten”. On “Spit Or Swallow” LIMBOGOTT perform the song together with Chris Pohl, who is an avid LIMBOGOTT fan – if you don’t swallow this, it is certainly your loss.

This will also be the case for many other tracks on “Spit Or Swallow”, which gives 17 tracks to you, and answer to wonderful names like „Angst“, „Kindergarten“ „Kaputt“ or „Zeitgeist“.
